New Jersey Mock Election

This year, Stephen J. Gerace is excited to be enrolled in the 2008 New Jersey Mock Election. More than 700 schools in New Jersey are participating in this event. The results of the mock election will serve as one of the last public opinion polls prior to the general election in November. Previous mock election results have been similar to the results of the general election. Votes will be tabulated by our mock election coordinators, Mrs. Carr and Dr. Verrone-Coffaro. The results will be posted at www.njmockelection.org.

October 29, 2008 ~ SJG has asked Pequannock Township Mayor Nick Kapotes to speak to our students regarding elections and the important responsibility of being active citizens.

The Pequannock Township School, Stephen J. Gerace Elementary School, has established a long tradition of learning, caring, growing and sharing. We believe that in order for our students to be successful academically they must establish strong character as well. We help each child learn and grow personally and socially through many of our character education programs offered throughout the school year.


Our Home and School Association is actively involved in educating the ‘whole’ child. Their involvement demonstrates the importance of home and school being interconnected. Parental involvement sparks interest beyond the scope and sequence of the classroom providing welcome support to our teachers and enrichment programs offered to the entire school community.
